fulminations of the divine
Thus God alone is [the primitive simple substance or monad] the primitive unity, or original simple substance, which produces all created or derivative monads, which are born, so to speak, by continual fulgurations of the divinity from moment to moment, limited by the receptivity of their created nature, the essence of which is to be limited.
One of the pleasures of misreading is a perpetual state of bemusement, of being wonderstruck by intuitive flashes of nonsense. So, yes, I misread ‘fulgurations’ as ‘fulminations’. And, yes, it makes sense that the divine would be vituperatively critical, and also that the essence of fulmination is to be limited.
